A really great place to stay in Perth. The staff are really helpful, the hostel is in a great location (walking distance to everything, but far enough out to be quiet at night), the kitchen is great, awesome little patio out back. Would stay here for sure next time. The central AC was a bit cold, but the clean, thick blankets made up for it! Hostelworld booking by Chad |

I wish I could stay there longer - and my next visit to Perth is bringing me right back there. I totally loved the atmosphere and the treatment received. Very well run! I have been recommending Witch's Hat to all the folks I met in Sydney and Brisbane this past week.......so that says a lot! Looking forward to staying again soon. Extremely friendly hostel with every amenity you could want. You get your own fridge space, food space and a large kitchen. The internet is fast and you can either use their computers or a laptop. There is a good TV lounge and also courtyard. It only takes 20 minutes to walk into town so although the location is not central this isn't an issue. They also offer great travel advice to help you plan your trip in the region. I would definitely recommend staying here. Hostelbookers review by Andrew Brown - 24/11/09 |

In general, I thought it was a great place to stay and would definitely stay there again. I've stayed in Many backpackers around the world and that was definitely in the top half of the best one's I've stayed in. Hostelworld review by Carlton Treasure 2009-11-12 |

really cute little hostel. Very clean and a lot like staying in someone’s house which was really nice after big inpersonal places. also quiet enough at night to get sleep but social if you wanted it. one of my fav hostels.wld def go back. no locks on doors but you can use lockers. also make sure you have a towel as they don’t have any but otherwise great. The place is very cosy, has a good kitchen and a nice patio. It just got a fresh paint so it looks good, too. Hostelbookers review by Peter de Bruijn |

I enjoyed my stay at the Witch's Hat. The facilities were superb. I mostly liked the 10.30pm curfew because then I could get some sleep. If you are a party animal, this is not an ideal place for you. – From Hostelbookers 25/5/09 |

Quite obviously Wich's Hat is a professionaly run outfit that understands the nature of the hospitality business and customer target group. Clearly the service ethic is one of it's primary aims. If you have special needs and the management feels they can assist, then they will do so as they did for me. I've been just about everywhere on the backpackers trail since about 1968 and know the difference between a rough, OKis, Modest, good and excellent Backpackers. The Witch's is well into the last of these categories. Sincerely, Graham G. Mills – From Hostelbookers 12/7/09 |

A really lovely and homely place. The people were very nice and I liked the security of the place and the cleanliness. Had someone stomping around and chatting in the hallway in the middle of the night on the second night though :( Other than that a very nice stay! Hopper was really nice about the multiple changes I made about the check-in time too! Hostelworld review by Joanne Liu 2009-06-10 |
